Do foot orthotics wear out?

Yes, unless they’re made as hard as a rock which is pointless! We make ours flexible since the feet contain 66 joints designed to work as shock absorbers. Since they’re made flexible here @ Arizona Orthotics they will eventually wear out. How fast depends on how active your lifestyle. Our runners, who put the most mileage on their orthotics get about 2 years out of them. Others have had them last more than 7.

Note: we do make heavy-duty orthotics for those who have an increased demand on their, such as football players and bodybuilders. This heavy-duty option is designed to increase the life of the orthotics, but more importantly provide the required functional support.
